Signals From Tomorrow

a demo collection

The "Signals From Tomorrow" were conceived in early 2010.  The material was recorded at Benbow Studios,  a historic home located in Edmonton's treasured community of Riverdale.  Deemed a haunted location, the house served as ethereal inspiration for the recordings within.

Bio

A new kind of light rises from the West… Fans are calling it "shoegaze", “new wave” and "dreampop". The band has coined the new genre “stargaze”.

No matter what you call it, Light Travels is a sonic tapestry woven with love, light and colour, resonating in the very soul of the listener. On any given Wednesday evening the five members of Light Travels can be found immersed in the creation of a rich mix of dynamic, sensual and lyrical soundscapes. With song writing inspired by the mysterious atmosphere of a haunted Riverside home, Light Travels hits the stage with an energetic chemistry that captivates their audience. Listeners are brought on a journey with sultry low notes, percussive mid-waves, belted highs, and thick threads of harmonic instrumentation pulling them through to the end.
